The Vegangeek!
I
have long been into high fidelity music reproduction (two channel audio) and home theatre construction, and I've gone through several iterations of equipment and design over the years. My first room was quite simple -- just a pair of Mirage 490is floor standing monitors fed with decent Arcam amplification and an Arcam CD player. It sounded quite nice, and I was very happy.

"Very Happy" in the audio world just means that you've got something to listen to while you plan your next upgrade, and my last room was a few years in the making because I wanted to design a room that was decided to accurate movie and music reproduction, without compromising one or the other by a great amount. No room is perfect unless you've unlimited funds, and that certainly wasn't the case here, but I was really happy with the results here. This room featured Bryston amplication driving PMC monitors, in a room that was acoustically treated to a large degree.

The room also featured a Sim2 C3X projector (3 chip DLP, 720p high def resolution) projecting onto a Stewart Greyhawk RS screen. With the room being completely blacked out during film showings, the picture was quite impressive indeed.

I've recently built a new room in my new place, and while it's smaller than my old room, obviously, I think it turned out very well. I'm quite happy with it. For photos of the new room, please visit my profile page on Blu-Ray.com.
